A few photos of the new Class 395 EMUs in action in Essex this afternoon, on the second day of public operation. Southeastern Highspeed will be running the preview service Mondays to Fridays between St Pancras and Ebbsfleet/Ashford.

Following the midday break that is used to inspect HS1s lines, the first ‘up road’ Eurostar passes Rainham in Essex.
The first afternoon Javelin service followed close behind, running from Ebbsfleet to St Pancras.
395004 passes Rainham.
Paris-bound at 140mph…
Another Eurostar set passes Rainham for the city.
St Pancras to Ebbsfleet in just 17 minutes.
Another 395 passes Rainham along the HS1 lines.

I like the last one best. I found this on a search for the Javelin trains, because I actually commute from Ebbsfleet to St Pancras International and I thought I’d read up a bit more on it since it’s made my life so much easier and saved so much more time.
