Drag On – Summer Saturdays Begin on NX

Today saw the first Summer Saturday loco-hauled additional on NXEA, running between Norwich and Great Yarmouth and utilising DRS’s 47832. For anyone thinking of coming over to sunny Anglia for a gander/trip on these services, here’s the diagram.

All the trains use NX’s Norwich based MK3 sets with the Class 90 dead in the consist. The sets for todays trips were as follows;

90008 + 82107 did 5V29 0848 NC – GY and 1V29 1008 GY – NR.
90005 + 82105 did 1V18 1206 NR – GY and 1V41 1310 GY – NR.
90007 + 82127 did 1V26 1418 NR – GY and 5V26 1540 GY – NC.

47832 runs light to Thorpe Junction, after being released from the stops at Norwich…

… and recesses in between 4 & 5, waiting to attach to the next set for Yarmouth.

It was getting a bit overcast for the last trip of the day. 47832 is shown being released by the ground frame at Gt Yarmouth.

832 runs round it’s MK3s at Yarmouth.
