All aboard for Melton – Corby – London

A mere four months later than originally planned, East Midlands Trains ran it’s first Melton Mowbray to London through service this morning. Unit 222010 provided the horses for todays 0603 Melton – London St Pancras service, running via Oakham and the newly opened station of Corby although late running on the inbound ECS meant that the train departed 18 minutes later than hoped. The return leg of the London to Rutland link runs as the 1800 St Pancras to Melton Mowbray, again via Corby and Oakham.
